Here at Brace Orthopaedic we always listen to feedback from our customers on the unique products we supply to them. A few of our clinicians (who are regular users of the MKS modular spinal bracing system) suggested that the Body Belt with a reduced anterior height might be a really useful treatment option for smaller adults, adolescents and paediatric patients.

In response to this request we contacted our inventive manufacturer of the MKS system, Albrecht in Germany, and asked them if it would be possible. The response was positive and within a few months reality. We are therefore delighted to announce that all of the Body Belt and Body Belt Plus sizes are now available with a reduced anterior height of 14cm. The posterior heights have also been reduced in proportion. We believe this to be the only stock range of its kind offering this solution and are delighted to have been able to bring another customer-led request to reality.

The MKS Body Belt is a semi-elastic bandaging orthotic that supports the lumbar vertebral column by building up circular pressure in the abdomen. The MKS Body Belt Plus provides all of these benefits with the added bonus of additional tensioning straps that can further enhance the abdominal pressure. Both Belt options have an integrated pocket to accept one of the modular Osteo back pieces, to create a semi bespoke TLSO solution.
