Brace Orthopaedic are proud sponsors of the 18th Foot & Ankle Course, taking place at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry from 2nd to 4th December 2019. The course is organised by the Orthopaedic Institute and attended by delegates from across the UK.
Brace Orthopaedic are independent distributors of innovative orthoses that help to improve clinical effectiveness as well as patient compliance. We have a strong portfolio with leading orthoses for the foot & ankle, including the unique active dynamic Step-On AFOs. Step-On offer a combination of spring-loaded hinges and high dorsiflexion ROM, allowing for easy tuning of the AFOs to the requirements of each user and continuous optimisation as those needs change over time, as well as maximising users’ independence. Delegates are also focusing on the ankle brace of the CDS (Controlled Dynamic Stretch) range, which represents the leading range of active dynamic stock orthoses for contractures management in joints of the upper and lower limb. Another product exhibited is the Halluxsan hallux valgus brace with a spring loaded hinge for specific adjustment of the correctional force applied on the big toe, used both in both conservative and post-operative treatment. Finally, we have two different ankle resting splints for patients with different requirements: the Artisan Ankle+ Immobiliser made of pliable aluminium, which allows for infinite adjustment of its shape and dorsiflexion angle, as well as the new Hybrid Resting Splint, for patients requiring an anteriorly-applied splint with easy ankle position adjustment.
